Message Google search Fram and you will discover this immediately. If you want to see it for your own eyes, go in the parts store ask to see a Wix filter and a Fram filter (unless you really want to buy and cut open an oil filter) and lay them side by side. Count the number of pleats in them and feel the material....HUGE difference in flow and filtering capacity. Fram=JUNK.

On a side note, and a true personal story, about 10 years ago when I had my first '90 Z, the parts store was out of Wix oil filters for several weeks. I have never liked Fram filters, but I finally said "oh just give me the Fram filter this time (the only one they had in stock that fit my car), I HAVE change my oil NOW." Next day, on the way home from work a rod started knocking loudly. My instant thought was the crappy Fram filter was to blame, and when I removed it, the Fram filter had burst inside, the perforated metal casing that keeps the filter media in place had collapsed, restricting the flow. I hate that company with a passion.
